Alternatively, you can open it by typing CMD in Start menu search box, right-click on Command Prompt entry and then click Run as administrator option.

Step-2: Once the command Prompt Window is open on the desktop type or paste the following command in the Command Prompt

bcdedit /copy {current} /d “Safe Mode”

After you have typed the command now press the Enter button to execute this command.

Step-3: Once the command is successfully executed on your PC now close the Command Prompt either by typing Exit or by clicking the Close button.

Step-4: Next you have to open Run command box by simultaneously pressing Windows logo and R keys (Windows+R) together at the same time. Now in the command box, type Msconfig and then press Enter the button to open System Configuration utility dialog.

Step-5: Now in the System Configuration utility dialog select the boot tab and under the boot option click on the checkbox next to the option Safe boot and then set the Timeout to 3 seconds.

You can enter a value between 0 and 30 as the Timeout value. Setting 3 seconds in timeout means that boot selection menu with Safe Mode option will appear for 3 seconds before automatically booting into Windows in Normal Mode.

Step-6: Finally click on the Apply button to save the changes.

Once you have saved the changes now it’s time to reboot your PC. The Safe Mode option should now appear in the boot selection menu. The boot screen menu will automatically disappear after three seconds to boot into Windows.
