How to Uninstall/Remove Built-in Apps on Windows 10

Windows 10 comes with bundles of  Built-in Apps such as, Maps, and People. Most of them are like scrap which are hardly used by anyone. And, it is not much easy to hide or uninstall these apps from the “All Apps” view in the new Start menu.

Step 1: Click the Cortana search field, where you would be able to provide your search field.

Step 2: In the search field, type “Powershell”.

Step 3: After searching the query, you will see all the search related to. From there, right click on the “Windows Powershell” and select run as administrator. Check the picture below for your reference.

Alternate Method: Uninstall the App Normally

You can also uninstall some apps normally. Just right-click an app on the Start menu, either in the All Apps list or the app’s tile and then select the Uninstall” option. (On a touchscreen, long-press the app instead of right-clicking.) This method is only useful for uninstalling the apps like Get, Get Skype, Get Started, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Money, News, Phone Companion, and Sports apps.

How to Reinstall All Built-in Apps

If you want to reinstall the apps which you have uninstalled by using above method. It also possible to get them back. You can get them back with the single line of PowerShell code. Again, open a PowerShell window as. Copy and paste the following line at the PowerShell prompt, and then press Enter.

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register '$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml'}

The above command will tell the Windows 10 to again install the apps which you have uninstalled by above method. Just paste the code and press enter. It will take some time to finish. If you see an error message, restart your PC, and then go to the start menu, you will see all the apps back.
