How to Use Update Assistant to Upgrade Window 10

Now you can manually install the new version of the Operating System through the company’s website. In a recent post, Microsoft would make the update available as a manual upgrade, and it is made good on the promise by enabling it through the Windows 10 Update Assistant.

Windows Anniversary Update is the easiest method for getting the Windows 10. While the second easiest method will bump you to the head of the upgrade line so that you can immediately install this second major update to Windows 10 and get your system up. Whereas the Windows 10 Update Assistant is even easier to use than the popular Media tool.

So, in this article, I am going to provide you the steps to install Windows 10 Update Assistant. Just follow the steps carefully and update your Windows 10.

Windows Update Assistant 

In this process, it will automatically retain all your files, applications and desktop software so no clean install options are available using the assistant. Once the update is complete you will simply have to go through an abbreviated Out of the Box experience to finish up the upgrade. As in Windows Update Assistant, there is no such direct option to save theimage but you can use it indirectly by using the other options to grab an ISO image.

Install Windows 10 using Upgrade Assistant

These are the steps that you can try to upgrade your Windows 10 with the help of using Windows Update.

Step 1: Simply opens theand click on the Update now button as shown below in the screenshot. And then click on the Download tool now button, it will download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.


You can also visit the History Page and then click on the Get the Update now button.

Step 2: When you click on the Update now button, it will download a Windows10Upgrade exe file to your computer. Save the file on your desired location and proceed further,

Step 3: Once the file is downloaded just click on it and the Windows 10 Update Assistant open up on your screen.

Step 4: Click on Update Now to proceed. This tool will check whether your device is compatible and ready for the upgrade.

Step 5: If your device is compatible, you will be informed accordingly. Now, perform the next step.

Step 6: When you click on Next button, the process of the update will start. See the image below for the reference.

NOTE: – This process will take some time

Step 7: Once the update process is completed, you are then asked to restart your system.

Step 8: After many attempts of restarting, your system is finally restarted and when the final restart is completed your screen will look somehow like this.

Follow the steps to upgrade, and then once the process is complete, make sure to check on your PC by opening the Settings app, and going to Update & Security and then select the Windows Update. You have now successfully installed the Windows 10 Update Assistant on your PC or Laptop.
