Method 1: Modify Speaker Properties

Step-1: First you have to right-click on the sound icon available at the right bottom of the desktop and then select the Playback devices option.

Step-2: After you click on the playback devices option a new Window will pop-up, here select Playback tab.

Step-3: Under the Playback tab select your speakers which are set as default and then click on Properties option.

Step-4: Now the Properties Window will open and here you have to select the Advanced Tab.

Step-5: Under Advanced tab alter the sample rate and bit depth until one of the settings works. This option is right under the Default Format.

Step-6: Once the setting works now click on the Apply and then press the Ok button to save the changes.

Method 2: Try to Uninstall your Audio Driver

Uninstalling the Audio Driver in Device Manager will sometimes help in overcoming the sound problem of your Windows. So, to uninstall your Audio Driver, follow these steps.

Step-1: First you have to open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key + R Key together at the same time.

Step-2: Once the Run dialog box is open now type devmgmt.msc in the box and then click on the OK button.

Step-3: After that, Device Manager Window will open.

Step-4: Now in the Device Manager Window expand the category Sound video and. you can find this category on the left side of the Window.

Step-5: Under this category, you have to right click on your sound card device name.

Step-6: Once you right click on it a new context menu will open and here you have to click on the Uninstall option.

Step-7: Now you have to confirm the uninstallation and for this, you have to select the checkbox which is right next to option Delete the driver software for this device.

Step-8: Once you select the checkbox now click on the OK button to complete the process of uninstallation.

Step-9: Now Restart your computer once this process is completed and after the restarting computer will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Ifthe sound driver does not work then you can try to update the driver.

Method 3: Update the Audio Driver in Device Manager

Sometimes updating to the latest version of Audio Driver may work. So, to successfully update your Sound Driver, follow these steps:

Step-6: Now a Window will pop-up and here you have to click on Search automatically for updated driver software option.

Step-7: Now your driver will automatically be updated and to check the changes you need to restart your computer.

Method 4: Update IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

By updating the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC can also help you to solve the audio issue on Windows 10. Many systems may encounter issues with their IDDT High Definition Audio CODEC as this can be fixed with a manual driver update which allows you to choose the sound driver. To manually update driver follow the steps below

Step-1: First you need to right click on the start menu and then click on the Device Manager option.

Step-2: Now in the Device Manager Window expand the category Sound video and game controllers.

Step-3: In this category find the IDDT High Definition Audio CODEC option.

Step-4: Once you find the option now right-click on the IDDT High Definition Audio CODEC and then select the Update Driver Software option.

Step-5: Now in the next panel select the Browse my computer for driver software, followed by Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer option. 

Step-6: Once you select these options now you are allowed to select from any drivers pre-installed on our computer.

Step-7: After that Click on the High Definition Audio Device option which is right under the Model option and then click on the Next button followed by Yes button to complete the process.

Step-8: Once this process is completed now Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
